Whyte’s Aggregates supplies sand and gravel in Dowling, near Sudbury Ontario. They saw the opportunity to take an unused gravel pit and convert it to a solar system that would generate clean, green energy. The pit is divided into two projects (the gravel path down the centre is the dividing line), each with 12 giant trackers (68 panels) and one smaller tracker (to get production up to the full 250 kW).
